Perfect Brunch

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I love Marmalade!

Everything about Marmalade makes me feel happy.

I had my first GTT test a few weeks back to check for gestational diabetes and so had to fast for 12 hours.

This normally wouldn't be a problem, but not eating breakfast super sets off my morning sickness, so not eating breakfast until after the test at 10.30, was not so jolly!

What I love about hospital apointments is that it means a trip to Marmelade on the way home.

A ham and egg sandwich with a latte was just what I fancied...thanks Marmalade.

#100happydays

Winning a bottle of Moet for my first placements in my new job

Can you be happy for 100 days in a row? I quite often find myself being stressed and miserable.  My worrying mind takes over and then I think that I'm not happy.

I think it's so important to have happy moments every day, but it's often that I forget these when the worry takes over.

#100happydays is the new thing that me and my sister have been doing for the last couple of weeks. http://100happydays.com

We haven't registered for this, it is just something we are doing on Facebook/Instagram.  I'm excited about looking back in 100 days and remembering that (even though I might not have been happy all day long) each and every day I had a happy moment.

Recipe: Orange Marmalade

One the items on my 2014 to do list was to make a preserve I had never made before. For Christmas Bean bought me The Preserving Book.

This weekend was the first weekend that G and I have spent doing nothing since the beginning of December. G has spent the weekend on the couch full of the cold so I decided to keep myself busy and looked through the preserving book.

There were loads of things I wanted to try and I went for orange marmalade.  It is quite long winded as you have to boil up the orange skins and then chop them all up into tiny bits - bit i guess if you had a snazzy grating machine this might do it for you!

I doubled the recipe in the book and got 8 jars! I'm loving the marmalade.

What Made Me Smile This Week

Hello Everyone - Happy Friday!

Here are some bits and bobs that I've been loving this week.

Really liked this post on Design Sponge  '26 ingenious ideas for your home'

Martha Stewart's website includes fab organisation tips, tasty recipes and ideas for your home

I've been wanting to find an app for collaging photos and read a recommendation that Instapicframes was a good free one.  I'm liking it so far and although the free version is pretty basic it's exactly what I wanted for now.

These 2 collages are just ones that I was trying to see how it worked - but you get the idea - you can add text, change the way the frames look, change the effects and pick different layout formats.

Discovered Marmalade Cafe at 237 Eastern Rd, Brighton, BN2 5JJ - Love it!

Also this week I discovered Kate Spade's blog and this article on Zabar's in New York made me desperate to visit the city

These tights/leggings are really making me feel Autumny and are making me think about different tight and dress combinations for this season.
