Beautiful Boutique

I popped into Cuckfield the other day to see my friend and went into the gorgeous baby boutique, Willo.

Although it's very tiny they have some gorgeous bits and I could resist getting Noah some great bits for the summer.

I think my fav is the baby grow from Mini a ture, the blue pattern is so so cute and even though it's a size to big Noah is already wearing it (at £19 he will be getting as much wear out of it as possible!!!)

Things For My Boy

£29.95

As we didn't know the sex of our baby until he was born, we had a wardrobe full of cream, grey, yellow and white.

I couldn't help but drag Noah and G to the shops on day 3 to stock up on some boy specific clothes! I've since been enjoying buying things I saw when I was pregnant but didn't get.

Here are some of my loves from the past 8 weeks...

The Sun is Shining

Necklace - Cos, Sunglasses - Cutler & Gross

What a glorious day! It feels more like summer than spring so noah and I spent the whole afternoon outside.

I pottered in the garden tidying the flowerbeds, made interesting tree decorations (see below), and caught up on some reading on my kindle, while he played with his toys in the pram.

Here's to more gorgeous sunny days like today.

Wedding Season

My Cousin is getting married in May and we are travelling to Newcastle to celebrate with them.  This year, not only do I need a lovely outfit for my post pregnancy/breastfeeding body, but I get to pick out something lovely for Noah.

As he is growing so quickly at the moment I didn't want to spend loads on an outfit, as he really will only get one wear out of it.

I am so pleased with this fantastic little set from H&M at £7.99! What a bargain and so totally cute!

Becoming a Mummy

On Friday 23rd May, only 4 days after posting about wanting to start a family, I found out I was pregnant - maybe I knew!

A mixture of fear, shock, and dread ran through me initially, as this certainly wasn't the plan for the next year or 2.

But I am so thoroughly delighted to say that on 30th January at 10:37 G and I welcomed our beautiful little boy Noah into our family.  I have now become one of those people who has become consumed by all things baby!

After a pretty good pregnancy, a trapped sciatic nerve for the last 2 weeks (meaning I was totally house bound), a pretty easy, drug free labour, and 8 weeks getting to grips with being a mummy, I want to start blogging again.

I absolutely adore being a mummy. I feel I  have learnt so much already and am looking forward to sharing it with you.

Bon Bebe

My sister sent me a link to a fab baby website that I had never heard of before, Vertbaudet

I am dying to try some of their bits and bobs. Loving the European style to the cute little bits, and it's not too ridiculously priced.

Noah will most certainly be wearing some uber cool things from here!

Baby Bag - Storksak Surprise

Just before Christmas my sister surprised me with this gorgeous Storksak Tote bag for the baby.  I was really keen to have a bag that looked like a handbag and not like a big clumpy baby bag.

I knew that as someone who always carries a massive handbag, this would contain as much for me as it would for the baby.

I was delighted with this bag and even better she had stocked it with loads of newborn essentials which have come in super handy.

The bag comes with a changing matt and definitely enough pockets to keep your stuff separate from baby's.  There is an insulated pocket on the outside for a bottle and loops on the strap for attaching to your pram.

Perfect!

Anniversary Weekend - A little late!

Back in May we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and a very special thing happened...we made a baby!

The lack of posts has been due to me being all over the place with sickness and emotions and coming to terms with starting a family a little sooner than expected.

However, I'm back and have lots to catch up on from the last 4 months.

Disneyland Paris was an absolute dream and we had such an amazing time.  Thanks G for an amazing weekend, one we truly will never forget!

The Family Feeling

Picture from here

I've always wanted a baby. I've always wanted to be a mum. Nothing in the whole has ever made me happier than the idea of having a baby.

In this first year of marriage though I have found myself, not just wanting a baby, but wanting a family.  Not only do I want a baby, but I want to have G's baby. I want to join us together even more by having something that inevitably links us forever.  Something that we get to make and share; and believe me that's saying something for me as I'm not one for sharing!

The fact that now we are married and in the process of getting a house sorted means that I am ever so much closer to having a baby.

I am trying to have a healthier lifestyle and I am planning to do the Brighton marathon again in 2015 to help me lose weight and then am hoping to fall pregnant after that.

The idea that it may not happen is niggling in the back of my mind, but fingers crossed there aren't any underlying issues that would mean our fertility isn't great.

Here's to drinking less, smoking less, getting fitter and getting up the duff!!!

And so they wore blue

{23rd July 2013}

Today I am so proud to be British.  It is so nice that in this day and age the country still comes together to celebrate when a National event occurs.  It is also so lovely that so many traditions are still upheld as they have been for hundreds of years.

We were lucky enough to have the tele on as the news broke of the birth of the new Prince and today as the Duke and Dutchess left the Lindo Wing to introduce their new son to the world.   They both looked so happy and I was super loving the blue coordinating outfits for a boy.  I wonder if William would have been brave enough to wear pink had it been a baby girl.

Congratulations to the happy couple and I am so excited to find out his name and watch him grow up.
